Our project draws inspiration from the cochlea to create an exploratory gaming environment that helps players understand and manage tinnitus anxiety through interactive sound source identification and muting.
Our project utilises the spiral shape of the cochlea to create an exploratory play environment with multiple paths and hidden corners. Maya software was used to construct a 3D map inspired by the cochlea, containing four different locations: classroom, bathroom, computer desk and dreamland. These locations represent common environments where tinnitus induces noise. The player's main goal is to explore these intricate scenes, find and eliminate the hidden sound sources in each one, and ultimately eliminate all noise.
The game is designed to provide an immersive experience that deepens the player's emotional understanding of tinnitus anxiety, while providing therapeutic and engaging gameplay.
